✔️ 5-Year Carry-In Warranty against Manufacturer Defects and Loss of Charge
Why Choose the 2KG CO2 Fire Extinguisher?
Precision Protection for Critical Electronics & Electrical Hazards
Standard dry chemical powder extinguishes flames effectively, but its fine chemical dust is corrosive and clogs cooling fans, circuit boards, and sensitive optics. The 2KG CO2 extinguisher delivers high-velocity suppression without secondary collateral damage, making it the industry standard for computer rooms, switchgear bays, and modern office workspaces.
How It Protects You
Liquid carbon dioxide expands into a dense cloud of cold CO2 gas upon discharge. This gas smothers active flames by displacing ambient oxygen at the combustion zone while providing a secondary cooling effect. Because it dissipates completely into the atmosphere, cleanup is zero.
✅ Effective against Class B fires (Including Electrical Origins)
Class B Fires: Flammable liquids such as solvents, petrol, thinners, and alcohol-based cleaning agents
Energized Electrical Hazards: Switchboards, power distribution boards (DB boxes), server racks, UPS systems, studio gear, and commercial appliances. Under Singapore Standard SS 578:2019, CO2 is specified for energized electrical risks due to its non-conductive properties.
✅ Ideal For: Server Rooms & Data Centres, Electrical Switch Rooms, Laboratories, Offices, Photo Studio, Manufacturing Plants, Hospitals (near high-value electronic medical equipment), Telecommunication Hubs
⚠️ When NOT to use CO2 Extinguishers
To ensure your safety, please note that the 2kg CO2 extinguisher is a specialized tool and should not be used on all fire types:
Class A Fires (Paper, Wood, Cloth): The high-pressure discharge can scatter burning embers, potentially spreading the fire.
Class D Fires (Flammable Metals): It is strictly forbidden to use CO2 on volatile metals. The high-pressure gas can cause a dangerous reaction, intensifying the blaze.
Class F Kitchen Cooking Oils: The high-velocity blast from a CO2 horn will splash boiling oil out of fryers, escalating the hazard.
Small, Unventilated Spaces: Because CO2 displaces oxygen, avoid using large amounts in confined areas without proper ventilation.
Maintenance & Servicing Guidelines
Weight-Based Inspections: Unlike dry powder extinguishers, CO2 cylinders operate under high vapor pressure and do not use a dial pressure gauge. Verification of full charge is conducted by measuring the cylinder’s gross weight against the stamped tare weight.
Commercial Workplace Servicing: Under SS 578:2019, commercial workplace units must undergo annual inspection and weight-logging by a qualified service provider.
