How It Works
Our SCDF-approved fire extinguishers are capable of fighting Class A, Class B, Gas, and Electrical fires. The silicon monoammonium phosphate dry powder melts upon contact with hot surfaces, forming a barrier between the fuel and oxygen. This effectively smothers the fire. The 3kg dry powder fire extinguisher is lightweight and portable, so you'll have no trouble carrying it around.
Instructions for Use
To ensure your fire safety, it's crucial to know how to use an extinguisher. The instructions are clearly marked on the cylinder, but the first step is always to remove the safety pin. Once that's done, you can use the lever to release the powder, aiming at the source of the flames. Remember, a fire extinguisher is for smaller, contained fires. For larger fires, always call the emergency services immediately.

Under SCDF regulations, fire extinguishers in Singapore no longer display icons for gas or electrical fires. SCDF recommends isolating the energy source (gas or electricity) before tackling the fire. Once the source is shut off, the fire typically involves Class A or B materials, which this extinguisher is highly effective against.

Maintenance, Servicing and Renewal of Fire Extinguisher
For Home Owners: Yearly maintenance is not mandatory. Your extinguisher is generally valid for up to 5 years before a hydrostatic test or replacement is recommended. We advise homeowners to check the pressure gauge once a month. Ensure the needle remains in the Green Zone to guarantee the unit is ready for use.
For Business Users: Annual servicing is a mandatory SCDF requirement. To remain compliant, your extinguishers must be inspected and certified every year.
