Why Choose Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fire Extinguisher?

While dry powder extinguishers are common, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) models offer a specialized "clean" solution for high-value environments. CO2 is a non-conductive, non-corrosive gas that extinguishes fire by displacing the oxygen fueling it. Because it leaves zero residue, it is the gold standard for protecting sensitive electronics from both fire and cleanup damage.

⚠️ When NOT to use CO2 Extinguishers

To ensure your safety, please note that the 2kg CO2 extinguisher is a specialized tool and should not be used on all fire types:

Class A Fires (Paper, Wood, Cloth): The high-pressure discharge can scatter burning embers, potentially spreading the fire.

Class D Fires (Flammable Metals): It is strictly forbidden to use CO2 on volatile metals. The high-pressure gas can cause a dangerous reaction, intensifying the blaze.

Small, Unventilated Spaces: Because CO2 displaces oxygen, avoid using large amounts in confined areas without proper ventilation.

Maintenance, Servicing and Renewal of Fire Extinguisher

CO2 extinguishers do not utilize pressure gauges. To verify that the unit is full and functional, the gross weight must be measured periodically against the weight stamped on the cylinder.

For Home Owners: Yearly maintenance is not mandatory. Your extinguisher is generally valid for up to 5 years before a hydrostatic test or replacement is recommended.

For Business Users: Annual servicing is a mandatory SCDF requirement. To remain compliant, your extinguishers must be inspected and certified every year.
