For versatile, high-performance fire protection in a compact design, the 9KG Dry Powder Marine Portable Fire Extinguisher is the ultimate cost-effective safety solution. This portable unit delivers rapid suppression for the most common fire hazards, making it an essential addition to vehicles, marine vessels, and industrial environments.
It is built to withstand demanding conditions and deliver reliable, professional-grade performance when every second counts. Upon discharge, the dry chemical powder melts upon contact with hot surfaces. This forms a durable physical barrier between the fuel and oxygen, effectively starving the fire and breaking the Fire Triangle.
Key Features & Marine Certification
MED / Wheelmark Approved: Fully compliant with international maritime standards, making it certified and suitable for marine vessels and offshore applications.
Belgian Engineered Quality: Meticulously tested in Belgium to guarantee structural integrity under cartridge operation and maximum operational reliability.
Premium Cartridge Reliability: Utilizes a reliable internal 150g CO2 propellant cartridge system to operate under an intense 20 BAR working pressure, ensuring maximum pressure delivery upon activation.
✅ Ideal For: Marine & Shipping, Vehicles & Transport, Commercial & Residential, Electrical & Utility Rooms
✅ Effective against Class A & B fires (Including Electrical & Gas Origins)
Class A Fires: Organic solid combustibles such as wood, fiberglass interior trim, canvas, ropes, and cushions.
Class B Fires: Flammable liquids common on marine craft, including petrol, diesel, marine engine oils, and solvent thinners.
Electrical & Gas Origin Hazards: Non-conductive formulation. On marine craft and vehicles, always isolate the battery master switch or shut off the LPG/gas cylinder valve before suppression. Once isolated, the fire involves Class A or Class B materials, which this extinguisher rapidly extinguishes.
Maintenance & Servicing Guidelines
Commercial craft subject to annual vessel surveys should have their extinguishers inspected and re-tagged every 12 months by an authorized servicing workshop.
