The extinguisher sprays pure carbon dioxide gas that chokes out flames instantly. The cold gas pushes away oxygen and cools down heat to kill the fire without using water or messy chemicals.

Annual Marine Surveys: Commercial vessels subject to annual survey inspections must have all onboard extinguishers inspected, weighed, and re-tagged every 12 months by an authorized servicing facility.
