How It Protects You

⚠️ When NOT to use CO2 Extinguishers

Confined Space Asphyxiation Precaution: A 5KG CO2 cylinder rapidly releases over 2,500 liters of expanded gas, quickly dropping oxygen levels in enclosed areas. Always discharge from an exit route and evacuate immediately.

Not for Deep-Seated Class A Materials: Does not penetrate deeply packed cardboard, timber stacks, or fabric furnishings; embers can reignite once the gas blanket diffuses.

Not for Class F Kitchen Grease/Fats: The high-velocity gas jet will splash boiling oil out of deep-fat fryers and pans, escalating the fire.

Maintenance & Servicing Guidelines

Weight-Based Inspections: Because CO2 cylinders operate under high vapor pressure without an external dial gauge, the cylinder's actual charge is confirmed by weighing the unit and comparing the gross weight against the stamped cylinder tare weight.

Commercial Workplace Servicing: Units in commercial and industrial premises must be inspected, weighed, and re-tagged every 12 months by a qualified servicing provider in accordance with SS 578:2019.
