Maintenance, Servicing and Renewal of Fire Extinguisher

CO2 extinguishers do not utilize pressure gauges. To verify that the unit is full and functional, the gross weight must be measured periodically against the weight stamped on the cylinder.

For Home Owners: Yearly maintenance is not mandatory. Your extinguisher is generally valid for up to 5 years before a hydrostatic test or replacement is recommended.

For Business Users: Annual servicing is a mandatory SCDF requirement. To remain compliant, your extinguishers must be inspected and certified every year.
