How It Protects You
Liquid and solid combustible fires escalate rapidly. This extinguisher discharges a specialized, siliconized monoammonium phosphate dry chemical that blankets active flames. Upon contact with high heat, the powder melts into a solid thermal barrier that starves the flame of ambient oxygen, cooling the combustion zone and preventing re-ignition.

Class A Fires: Organic solid combustibles such as wood, paper, cardboard, pallets and textiles.
Class B Fires: Flammable liquids such as petrol, diesel, paints and solvents.
Electrical & Gas Origin Hazards: Under Singapore Standard SS 578:2019, portable extinguishers no longer carry standalone icons for electrical or gas fires. Always isolate the energy source (shut off the electrical main or gas supply) before suppression. Once isolated, the fire involves Class A or Class B materials, which this extinguisher rapidly suppresses.
⚠️ Application Limitations
Dry powder is not recommended for Class F cooking oil fires (deep-fryers or burning cooking pans in kitchens) as the pressurized blast can splash burning oil. Use an EN 1869 Certified Fire Blanket instead.
Dry chemical powder cannot extinguish thermal runaway in Lithium-Ion battery fires (e.g., PMDs, e-bikes, power banks).
